Things I've Noticed

Since Ben has been on day & night turnout I have noticed some changes in him even though it's only been since Monday we started this. He used to creak when he walked in his hind fetlock areas & in general in different spots randomly, well I haven't heard creaking...at all lately? I'm very pleased about that & hoping it means he is physically feeling better with his arthritis! He comes in twice a day for two of his three meals & when I went to see him after he finished his breakfast this morning & was waiting to be turned back out again he was calm. I opened the stall door where he eagerly greeted me half stepping out waiting for his halter to be placed on him & off we went at a nice pace to his field. When he got there he ate his hay, drank his water , & back to his hay again. He seems very calm but content with things. His next Dr. visit to check his ulcers is this coming Tuesday so keeping my fingers crossed for a clean scoping!! On another note Happy St. Patrick's Day to those who celebrate as Ben & I do every year!
